[Interact - RP Starter Minigame]
Feeling unsure how to approach? Want to try RP with me, but don't have any specific goal, or can't justify your character going out of their way to interact with mine? This section is for you! /tell one of the below keywords to engage with my character. For ideal results, be physically present/somewhere where my character would be able to see yours. I will generally respond to these in character, even if I don't know you. I will respond to these usually even if I don't have my RP tag on.
[Interact]: Cherche will offer an context or area sensitive remark, as if she's an NPC you've clicked on for some flavor text. She reserves the right to simply reply with "..." if she really doesn't feel like talking for any reason.
[Examine]: I will post an "ambient text" description that gives an idea of what Cherche is currently doing, what her demeanor is like, and how amenable she seems to being approached. This might be useful if you want some context (say, if you just entered the room and can't see any of the previous text) before roleplaying.
[Prompt]: I'll give you a prompt that should make approaching really easy. Note that I may have a few OOC questions before I send you a prompt.
[Check Out]: Feeling bold? You might get an idea of how interesting or attractive Cherche finds you if you try it. There is a high probability that Cherche will notice ICly if you do this, though this does not guarantee she will interact with you.

[Amory Investigations]
ACI is Cherche's personal company. Once home to a small group of fellow adventurers, Cherche has recently struck out on her own, and now runs a one-woman office.
ACI accepts clients of all nationalities and income levels. Pro bono work available to those in need. Listings frequently posted in all areas where the Adventurer's Guild operates.
Though her operation is essentially just Cherche, a pair of retainers, and the occasional friend from her earlier adventuring days, she hopes to someday expand and grow her company again.
An address is included on her card, but if the area is visited, one will find it is no longer accepting visitors.
[OOC - About my RP style]
IC = In character. This refers to my character I play, Cherche. OOC = Out of Character. This refers to me, the player and writer.
This might seem obvious to some, but I've had this come up enough times that it's worth stressing; Cherche is a character I play, not a reflection of myself.
I'm open to walk-up roleplay anytime my RP tag is on. In walk-up roleplay, I keep things safe and careful and I don't let roleplay get too intense or dramatic until rapport is built between players/characters.
I don't expect all people to be interested in roleplay, and I'm perfectly content just making friends OOCly and doing in-game content with people. You are not obligated to roleplay with me - we can also just connect and hang out as players. If you're not interested in roleplaying you probably won't care about the rest of this section.
I'm open to roleplay with people of all experience levels. I'm passionate about the subject and happy to help or advise beginners.
If you ever feel uneasy with a scene you're doing with me, please let me know. I prioritize the IRL comfort of players over the scene itself at all times.
I expect a distinction to be made between players and characters when roleplaying or discussing roleplay. Please use your character's name when talking about them and do not refer to them in the first-person. This signals to me that there is a boundary present there, and I find this boundary to be a very simple and effective way to help others manage character bleed.
I expect OOC consent to always be obtained for any in-depth RP. I am a firm believer that consent can be revoked at any time, for any reason. I expect respect to be shown to others' suspension of disbelief. I believe that if a character is doing something openly disruptive or nonsensical, no one is under any obligation to acknowledge or engage with it.
Roleplayers are responsible for gathering their own knowledge and lore. I reserve the right to simply disengage with or ignore anything that pushes heavily on suspension of disbelief or that harshly contradicts established conventions within FFXIV's setting and lore. I don't expect everyone to be lore-wizards, and characters as well as players are allowed to make mistakes, but I appreciate a sincere effort to try and engage with the setting.
I expect respect to be given to me and all other players. I will not engage with real-life discrimination, bigotry, toxicity or racism. I am perfectly comfortable using my mutelist or my blacklist to deal with disrespectful people.
I'm a big fan of OOC communication. I believe trust is the core component of all the best roleplay, and because of that I aim to build trust first before I build any elaborate or intense scenes with someone. If we can't communicate like adults as players, then you can expect me to play my character as guarded and careful ICly with your character(s) as well.
I'm an adult and I'm open to mature themes, but I do not tend to actively seek them out. If we are going to RP anything that's dark, involving themes of intense non-fantasy violence, sexual themes, or anything else of that nature, I expect consent to be established in advance.
If you spam emotes or flood roleplay with OOC chatter in public channels, I will probably mute you.
Please do not cold solicit me for ERP.
I'm not interested in discussing heavy real-life topics such as politics or religion except with trusted friends.
Part of how I roleplay is by playing the game and integrating my game experiences into my roleplay. I can only do the classic "Stand around and text chat" style RP so long before I get bored or need breaks.
I have little if any interest in rolled PvP combat - I rarely find it anything other than boring both to read and participate in. If you would like to spar/fight, let's meet up in the Wolves Den, or organize a scene OOCly first.
I roleplay according to the game's current world state generally, and I tend to assume that the entirety of the game's events have occurred over quite a few years (despite this technically not being canon). I do my best to avoid spoiling anything major for new players, but I cannot guarantee I won't spoil anything when in-character. Discretion is advised.
[OOC - About the Player]
Age: 33
Timezone: Central (GMT+5)
From: Midwest USA
Experience: Enough
Additional Notes...
If you're not enjoying a scene with me, let me know. I'll either work with you to fix it, or step away if needed. Roleplay should be fun and if it isn't it's probably time for a break.
I'm almost always "semi-IC". Even when I'm not roleplaying in groups, roleplay motivates most of my in-game goals. If you see Cherche out in the world, I'm usually willing to come up with an IC reason why she's there.
I'm looking for friends both ICly for Cherche and OOCly for me, and I'm also hoping to recruit some cool people to help me build an FC someday (though I'm also open to joining one if I find a group I really click with).
Want to know something else about me? Ask away!
Want to talk more OOCly or share Moon Magics? Message me in-game and I'll connect with you on Discord.
